What is the PSA?
The Pastoral Services Appeal (or PSA) is a Diocese-wide effort to raise money to support the continuation of the Diocese programs, ministries, and mission of helping others find a path to Christ.
Why you should donate:
As parishioners of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, you are also members of the Diocese of Orange, and as such, both benefit from and play an active role in its continuing mission of helping others find a path towards Jesus Christ through the ministry of the Church. One way to serve the Diocese of Orange is to donate to the PSA so that the Diocese may continue its mission of helping others find a path towards Jesus Christ. By donating, you actively support your parish through the ministries and programs supported by the diocese. Further, any amount over our goal of _________, goes directly to our parish ministries here at Our Lady of Guadalupe. It is thanks to parishioners like you who have donated in past years, that we are able to run such wonderful events like Catholics Invade the Bar, Holy Smokes, Vespers + Vespers, as well as run our catechism programs for youths, teenagers, and adults!
What donations are used for:
The PSA is run yearly to help raise financial support for Orange Diocese and its mission: helping others find a path towards Jesus Christ. Donations help support a variety of programs and ministries, including the support of retired priests, vocations, Catholic schools, outreach efforts, and parish support. By donating to the PSA, you are not only supporting the Diocese and your fellow Catholics, but you are actively contributing to the continued support of your own parish, ministries, and programs.
How the PSA directly benefits your parish:
100% of every dollar raised by a parish above its goal is returned to the parish to be used at the discretion of the pastor and/or parish leadership. Over the years, these “Parish Surpluses” have been used to fund renovation projects, building campaigns, youth programs and so many other vital local projects. Our Lady of Guadalupe is also particularly blessed to have received several loans from the diocese, which have funded our new asphalt, the repair and renovations of our parish, and the salary of many of our office employees! The PSA allows the Diocese of Orange to give us these loans so that we may continue to serve you and the whole of La Habra. Recently, the Diocese of Orange also very generously forgave $700,000 of loans that we previously had, money that came from PSA!
How can I donate and support the PSA?
Contributions can quickly and easily be made a number of ways:
- – Give through a Qualified Charitable Distribution or IRA Rollover: If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make a tax-free donation directly from your IRA account.
- – Give Online by clicking here. This online form provide a safe, fast and secure portal for contributions to be made via credit card or direct debit.
- – Give At Your Parish: Pledge forms are available at your parish; just fill out the provided fields and leave it at the parish office, offertory basket or collection box. A return envelope is included in case you’d prefer to mail it directly.
- – Give a Gift of Stock or Securities
