We are excited to announce a new theological speaker series, titled “Catholics Invade the Bar: The Pearl of Great Price”. Our Lady of Guadalupe Church is partnering with La Perla Azul Restaurant in La Habra, and with the Knights of Columbus of La Habra, Joseph Scott Council #7142, to bring you a 9-week series of dynamic lectures by exciting speakers from across the country beginning October 11th and continuing until December 6th, 2023.
Each Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 PM, we will meet at La Perla Azul Restaurant to learn more about the “faith delivered once and for all to the saints” (Jude 3).
Space is limited, and we’d love to see you there, so register now! The suggested donation for each evening is $15 ($135 for the whole series). Food and drink will be available for purchase at La Perla Azul Restaurant (food and drink are not included in the registration donation, which helps offset the cost of putting on this series). We hope you come hungry and thirsty both for a tasty meal and for the truth.
This will be the 3rd Annual Edition of CIB. Fr. William Goldin started CIB during his assignment as Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Fatima Church in San Clemente in 2021, and the first CIB took place at HH Cotton’s American Bar and Grill in San Clemente from December 2021 through February 2022. The second CIB took place earlier this year at Casa Jimenez Restaurant in Huntington Beach with St. Vincent de Paul Church.
Both previous CIB series were sell-out successes, and great fun for all. The first edition of CIB in San Clemente was also video recorded by Guadalupe Radio, and is still available for streaming on their App at: https://www.guadaluperadio.com/cartelera/serie/539/1
These are "all adult" events (both for younger and older adults of all ages), and we are happy to announce that we will also be able to offer free childcare at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in La Habra so that young families will be able to attend.
