Little Flowers Girls Club gathers twice a month for young girls to learn about their Catholic faith with friends. The Club is for girls ages 5 and older, and meets during the school year at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Our members attend Catholic school, public school, and home school, and are excited to learn more about their faith together in a fun environment. Each month we focus on a different Catholic virtue, and saints that demonstrate that virtue. Meetings also include discussion about feast days and celebrations in the liturgical year.
In our first year, we will be exploring the virtues of Faith, Hope, Love of God, Love of Neighbor, Obedience, Piety, Humility, Industry, and Truthfulness. At each meeting girls learn the meaning of the virtue through games, scripture readings, crafts, sharing activities, and lessons about the saints. Members earn badges for each virtue throughout the year. Activities outside of regular meetings include group service projects, family potlucks, mother/daughter tea, and participation in parish and community events where we can celebrate our faith together. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to participate at meetings to assist with games and crafts.
