Junior High First Communion/ Primera Comunión para Junior High

If your child is in junior high school (grades 6-8) and has not yet received First Communion, you are encouraged to enroll him or her in our preparation program for First Communion:

 

First Communion Preparation for Children in Junior High School (Grades 6-8) who are already baptized

The First Communion preparation process for children in junior high school (grades 6-8) who are already baptized is normally two years, including regular attendance at Sunday Mass, classes, mini-retreats and workshops for the children and their parents.  A new group of children begins preparation for First Communion in August of each year.  Let your child be in the next group! Register your child in our First Communion preparation program during the next registration period.

First Communion Preparation for Children in Junior High School (Grades 6-8) who have not been baptized

If your child is in junior high school (grades 6-8) and has not yet been baptized, he or she will receive First Communion (as well as Baptism and Confirmation) through the process called “Christian Initiation of Children Who Have Reached Catechetical Age” (also sometimes called “RCIA for children”).  This is at least a three-year process including regular attendance at Sunday Mass, weekly classes for the children and their parents, as well as periodic mini-retreats and workshops for both the children and their parents.  A new group of children and their parents begin this preparation process in August of each year.  Let you and your child be in the next group!  Register your child during the next registration period.

Si su hijo/a está en la escuela junior high (grados 6-8) y que todavía no ha recibido la Primera Comunión, se le anima inscribirse a él/ella en nuestro programa de preparación para la Primera Communion:

El proceso de preparación para la Primera Comunión para los adolescentes en la escuela junior high (grados 6-8) que ya están bautizados normalmente es dos años,.incluyendo la asistencia regular a la Misa dominical, clases y mini-retiros para los niños y sus padres. Un nuevo grupo de adolescentes comienza la preparación para la Primera Comunión en agosto de cada año. ¡Inscriba a tu hijo/a en el siguiente grupo! Inscriba su hijo/a en nuestro programa de preparación para la Primera Comunión durante el próximo período de inscripción.

Preparación para la Primera Comunión para los adolescentes en escuela junior high (grados 6-8) que no han sido bautizados

Si tu hijo/a está en la escuela junior high (grados 6-8) y que aún no ha sido bautizado, él o ella recibirá la Primera Comunión (y el Bautismo y la Confirmación) en el proceso que se llama "La iniciación cristiana de los niños de edad catequética” (también llamado a veces “RICA para los niños/as"). Este es un proceso de al menos tres años incluyendo la asistencia regular a la Misa dominical, clases semanales y mini-retiros periódicos para los adolescentes y sus padres. Un nuevo grupo de adolescentes y sus padres comienza este proceso de preparación en agosto de cada año. ¡Inscríbete e inscribe a tu hijo/a en el siguiente grupo! Inscriba tu hijo/a durante el próximo período de inscripción.
