The Respect Life ministry is dedicated towards promoting the sanctity of human life from the moment of fertilization until its natural end.  The Respect Life Committee offers numerous ways you can help in this endeavor. We utilize Prayer, Education, and Service as means of reaching out to members in our parish and our community.

Prayer - In addition to your personal prayers, peaceful prayer vigils have been organized during the 40 Day for Life, during the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, or when recommended by our Bishop.

Education – Experienced speakers are available for speaking engagements.  Our goal is to provide public outreach to students and parents, offer education and tools around healthy lifestyle choices, and lay the foundation to enhance the sacredness of human life.

Service – The La Habra Life Center is available to women and families with a crisis pregnancy.  We offer counseling in a confidential and safe environment, provide free pregnancy tests, and offer practical assistance to help women make life affirming decisions. Introduction to and referrals for Natural Family Planning/Fertility Awareness are given to help strengthen marriage and family life.  Any women or men experiencing the pain of abortion are provided a friendly and non-judgmental environment, and are referred for healing to a counselor of Project Rachel.
