If you are expecting a child, now would be a great time to ask God to help you find the right godparents for your child to be. Please know that there are requirements for parents and godparents:

Parents

• Parents please pick-up a registration packet at the Faith Formation Office
• A copy of your child's birth certificate must be provided
• You must attend a pre-baptismal class

Godparents

• Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
• You have completed your sacraments of Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation
• Obtain your registration form from parents, which will need to be taken to your parish to be signed and get the parish seal
• At least one of the godparents must be a practicing Catholic. The other godparent may be a Christian witness
• Godparents may be either married or single. A married godparent must be married in the Roman Catholic Church or have had the union blessed by the Church
• If single, that you are living a chaste life
• You must attend a pre-baptismal class
